Cheysuli's Frisky Fall

The things I do to amuse the Woman.

Here I am with a mini pumpkin and the spider toy because she thinks this makes people think of Fall. Well I am here to tell her that if she would read my mind when I am sleeping by the fire and get shots of that it would be far better. So what if I make such a shot challenging by moving whenever she tries to get such a photo? I am Cheysuli. Getting a photo of me is part of the Challenge!

Mini's Frisky Fall

Fall is weird here at the House of the (Mostly) Black Cats. It does get cooler and we get to snuggle more. But you can really tell it's fall around here when Grandma Cat goes berserk and starts boxing up stuff to take to goodwill. She calls it Fall Cleaning. I call it fun boxes to nose in and fun to snoopervise. I mean, I have to make sure she doesn't box up my treats and send them away!

George's Frisky Fall

GEORGE

Oh hi, come on in!! Welcome to our house.

When autumn comes to Whisk-onsin, Mom decorates our door & front porch with all these cool scarecrows & punkins & straw & stuff.

She puts them where we can't get at them 'cause we're not allowed to play with them. They're only for looking not playing, so you can sniff but don't touch!

Junior and Orion's Not So Frisky Fall

Fall
Falling leaves
Purrty colors
Shorter days
Less sunshine (grrrr)
Warm snugglies
Longer naps
Turkey!!!

Snap's Frisky Fall

What? You thought they called me Snap because I'm pleasant? Well I'm not. I'm cranky and I put my ears back a lot.

Anyhow, as a horse, Fall really means frisky time! The breezes make me squeal and buck and fart and run around like a filly. I make trouble with the younger horses and make sure they are aware that I'm the boss mare. The cooler air means I get the friskies even when I'm being ridden. Suddenly I see MONSTERS in corners and have to freak out and run away from them. Also, when my Bill Payer Lady would like me to pay attention I'm more in the mood to just do things my way.

If I'm cursed the Bill Payer Lady will take me to a Hunter-Pace which is kind of like a competition but its a really long gallop through the woods. Those exhaust me but are FUN! I love to gallop through fields and leap over logs, well as long as my horse friends are with me too.

Fall is Snap season for the Bill Payer Lady and that means the kitties suffer. Muuuhahaha!!!

*Since I'm not eligible for prizes I still think I should get a bag of carrots and/or apples for my effort*

Latte's Frisky Fall

The wind was chilly and the ground cool beneath my brown paw pads. I decided to move into the "garden" to follow an interesting scent. As house hunter my duties are taken very seriously and this scent of camel crickets was strong.

A sniff here, a tail twitch there... a head jerk in the direction of some blowing leaves. All very important parts of protecting your home from intruders. Every fall these large bugs seem to find ways into our home through our basement. I've eaten one once....I don't recommend them. A leg immediately repeated on me. Anyhow, they're ugly and and not rather tasty but fun to hunt! Plus Meowmy HATES them and goes EEEWWWW when they're around.

Boldly I headed under the front porch on my short leash. I could smell them and hear them but not quite reach them. I struggled hard against my harness but my Meowmy was not in the mood to find a crag filled with camel crickets. Thwarted yet again. My life is so difficult.

The Other Way Round

We are like Vampy Victor, our seasons are the opposite to North America and the UK. We have used this photo of Fui taken in April of this year, during our Autumn.

It’s feeling cooler to this tabby fellow,
And I watch the leaves as they start to yellow,
I stand on them, their rough and they crinkle,
The clouds cover the sun, the stars lose their twinkle.
Enjoy your Autumn, that’s what we Australians call
The season America knows as Fall.

Shades of Fall

I bask in the fading beams.
Sheltered.
A brillant leaf finds comfort in my fur.
He must be cold.
I am warm.
For now.

Shine A Little Light...

Well, being that I am not an outdoor cat, there are
no pictures of me with falling leaves.
And being I am a perfect lady, there are
no pictures of me "falling".
So, all I can do is say that when fall comes,
you need to turn on your lights earlier.
That's right isn't it?

Vampy Vics Australian "Fall"

Because we are in Australia we do not use the word "fall" here.
What Fall would mean here is :

This is me preparing to FALL onto my sister Mushka.

But in the true spirit of the contest, what Autumn or "fall" means to me is getting under the blankie for warm toasty snuggles. :)
SNUGGLE SEASON IZ HERE!!

MISS PEACH the GHOST CAT >(^,^)<

Wind is a cat
That prowls at night,
Now in a valley,
Now on a height,
Pouncing on houses
Till folks in their beds
Draw all the covers
Over their heads.

My Days Dwindle Down...

Oh, it's a long, long while from May to December.
But the days grow short, when you reach September.
When the autumn weather, turns the leaves to flame,
one hasn't got time for the waiting game.
Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few,
September, November ~
and these few precious days, I'll spend with you.
These precious days, I'll spend with you.
